Embedding expertise to ease BAU pressure and support a major carbon removal project.
Following a major business transformation project, our client, a FTSE 250 energy company, was pursuing new strategic projects, including carbon removal projects. Alongside already high BAU workloads resulting from the ongoing management of its generation assets, these new projects placed additional pressure on the in-house Legal team which was already below strength due to temporary absences.
To supplement the existing in-house Legal team, Maven Radd provided an experienced in-house lawyer with sector and technology specific knowledge to handle BAU matters, as well as to ensure appropriate dependable in-house coverage was provided to the client’s new projects.
The nature of the Maven Radd engagement provided the client with longer-term and flexible in-house support, which was not available in the interim market or otherwise.
Additionally, Maven Radd’s experience and specialist knowledge meant that the client was able to manage the engagement with minimal supervision and at a lower cost than alternative legal services offerings.
